Disney Merchandise Savings

diningplansign

How often do you need to eat while at Walt Disney World? If you are like me, quite often.

But what I bet you didn’t know, is that you can now save money on Disney merchandise, just for eating at Quick Dining restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort area.

That’s right, now you will find a discount coupon at the bottom of your receipt for select merchants throughout the Kingdom.

The only catch to these discounts, is that they are only available for a limited time and only between certain hours of the day.

You are probably at this point either saying “I didn’t notice a coupon?” or “How much is it for?”

You can save up to 20% off merchandise.

I was able to save about $15 dollars on a purchase while at the Magic Kingdom. There a few items that are exempt, however, the counter that I went to, actually gave me the 20% off my entire purchase, making it even more magical on my wallet.

Just another helpful tip from the HoosierDisneyGuy, make sure you don’t toss your receipts, it could lead to great savings!!!

Monstrous Summer

First time ever, three of Disney’s theme parks will be pulling a 24 hour all nighter.

As part of the kickoff to Monstrous Summer, Magic Kingdom in Florida, Disneyland park, and Disney California Adventure will be open from 6am, May 24th to 6am, May 25th.

In Florida, your masters of ceremony will be Mike and Sully from the upcoming feature Monsters University. They will be appearing in the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade as honorary grand marshals. They will also be making appearances in Tomorrowland through the day.

The Magic Kingdom will also have entertainment throughout the day and nights, there will be your favorite characters in their pajamas.

This is not the first time that the Magic Kingdom opened for a 24 hours straight. They did this as part of the leap year celebration called “One More Disney Day” last year.

What do you think? Do you have what it takes to be in the Magic Kingdom for an entire 24 hours? If you plan on going, let me know. Or let me know what you think about Monstrous Summer.

WDW Fun Fact

Cinderellas magic table

One of the hottest dining spots in the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella’s Royal Table, originally was named King Stefan’s Banquet Hall.

King Stefan was a misleading moniker, since he was dad to a different princess: Sleeping Beauty.

The name change went into effect in 1997.

The official Disney Parks Blog announced today, that a new interactive game called ‘A Pirate’s Adventure:Treasures of the Seven Seas’, coming this Spring to the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland.

Guests will use a pirate map and magic tailsman to help them complete five different pirate raids throughout Adventureland. The goal is to help locate different Treasures of the Seven Seas and fight off pirate enemies like the Royal Navy and Captain Barbossa.

This sounds like a fun adventure for the adventurous little pirates in your family.
